A kettlebell is hand held weight which can be used to train the whole body. It resembles a cannonball with a handle attached. Kettlebells can vary in weight and they have been used for centuries in Russia and surrounding countries.
Kettlebells movements train the whole body, from the core to the bigger outer body muscles. Kettlebell training also trains your heart and lungs (Cardiorespiratory system). Kettlebell training is one of the best ways to burn lots of calories. Because you use lots of muscle groups at the one time, you only need to spend a short amount of time during each session.
Our goal at kettlebellsireland is to teach our clients how to use kettlebells in their own home, where they can take control of their own health/fitness training.
Pilates is a mind/body concept developed over 80 years ago. It has been used for health, fitness, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries for years. We also offer Pilates group matwork, or equipment one to one or semi private classes.
Pilates will improve your posture and strengthen the whole body. Pilates works the inner muscles of the body ( Core ) to the outer muscles. It will help your breathing and how you move, sit or stand.
Pilates is a nice first step for those who are in rehabilitation of injuries or for those who have not trained in a long time and are planning on coming back to fitness training. It prepares you for the more intense training like kettlebell training etc.
Come along and try the kettlebell workshops, where you will learn how to do the basic movements. If you like what you see, you can sign up for either the group classes, one to one or semi private classes.
